Avalon Park Group and the Avalon Park Community have joined forces with Orange County District 4 Commissioner Maribel Cordero Gomez, the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of CF and Legal Services Clinic of the Puerto Rican Community to be the East Orlando collection point for donations to support the Bahamian hurricane relief effort. This partnership has coordinated with the local British-American Chamber of Commerce and the British Consulate in Miami to ensure the supplies are delivered to the appropriate Bahamian authorities to ensure authorized distribution on the islands.
Community organizations, churches, schools, businesses and individuals are asked to drop off donations from the list below September 6th-27th at Encore at Avalon Park, 13798 Cygnus Drive, Orlando, FL 32828. There will also be volunteer opportunities on Friday, September 13th, Friday, September 20th, Friday, September 27th to package the donate items for shipping.
